10 years ago (a decade) today... A miracle story.

We were wandering around the hospital trying to have the baby we had tried to have for the last three years.  I only tell you this because what followed was maybe the hardest and most rewarding thing we had to go through. Follow me through the journey.

The first little man! Born the delivery was hard, there was some touch and go moments but we all came out of it okay.
We are so happy!  A nurse noticed he had some labored breathing, something to watch.
The breathing thing wasn't small, I am so grateful the nurse knew what to look for or this would have been the end of the story.
Side note to all the nurses in the world, I love you!  Not just for what you do, but for putting up with scared and un-informed parents who freak out at you for no reason.  Thank you for everything you do.

Even with the IV the O2 and the unknown we see he's got some guns, he'll need them.
Always a happy baby!  The newest baby accessory is the Nasal Canulla - "Can's" as we came to know them.
Even thought he's happy there is still some work that needs to happen, here you can see he wore his old man out!
Welcome sister, I have never met two kids who loved each other as much as they do.  Twins of sorts.
First day of Pre-school, look how excited he is.
Oh we found out he needs glasses, that would explain why he doesn't like loud noise.
Welcome little brother. Little man 2 didn't think his brother should come into the world without O2 alone so he stayed in the same NICU big brother did.
"I want to climb that, and that and that" he has the heart of an adventurer!
A side not seen by many, he doesn't get as goofy as he did, but he will always be this awesome to me.
His favorite place is between his bro and sis.
surrounded by friends he attracts them like crazy where ever he goes.
Lego meeting, dad get your old film camera away from me, I just want to play with Lego.
8 years old, what a man.  Getting ready to be baptized.
Looking for adventure, he loves to lead the company through all the corny mazes he's found in.
Take on a timer for a reflections entry - he loves Tae Kwon Do, he's always practicing and trying to make his form better.
Look how cool this kid is, I can't believe he's so handsome he must have gotten that from his Mom.
Loves to play games, even if no body else does.

I'm just amazed at how lucky we are to have him.  If you don't know him you are missing out, if you do then you know how much of a stud he is.

Love you Bud!

New camera coming...

I have been obsessed with film camera's for about a year now, and have a number of 35mm camera's I've been using.  I just won a TLR (twin lens reflex) camera from ebay, I hope it works :).  The new camera has a 120 film size back so I ordered some film from the internet it's really the only place to get film much anymore, I know there are some local shops that carry it but 5 rolls of film for $19.00 is pretty good (I think).  I need to start doing my own film development that is what I need to get next.  I wanted to try a few different types of film, so I went to photoshop and have been playing around with a few filters.  I know they are digital representations of what the qualities of the film that makes it unique, but I settled on the Kodak 400 T-Max film, if the post processing is any indication of the output from the film I'm pretty excited.  When I shoot some film and scan I'll post the film photos so we can have a little comparison :) Here are my digital test shots.
Right out of the camera, nice and smooth
After applying the Kodak 400 T-Max processing
