10 years ago (a decade) today... A miracle story.

We were wandering around the hospital trying to have the baby we had tried to have for the last three years.  I only tell you this because what followed was maybe the hardest and most rewarding thing we had to go through. Follow me through the journey.

The first little man! Born the delivery was hard, there was some touch and go moments but we all came out of it okay.
We are so happy!  A nurse noticed he had some labored breathing, something to watch.
The breathing thing wasn't small, I am so grateful the nurse knew what to look for or this would have been the end of the story.
Side note to all the nurses in the world, I love you!  Not just for what you do, but for putting up with scared and un-informed parents who freak out at you for no reason.  Thank you for everything you do.

Even with the IV the O2 and the unknown we see he's got some guns, he'll need them.
Always a happy baby!  The newest baby accessory is the Nasal Canulla - "Can's" as we came to know them.
Even thought he's happy there is still some work that needs to happen, here you can see he wore his old man out!
Welcome sister, I have never met two kids who loved each other as much as they do.  Twins of sorts.
First day of Pre-school, look how excited he is.
Oh we found out he needs glasses, that would explain why he doesn't like loud noise.
Welcome little brother. Little man 2 didn't think his brother should come into the world without O2 alone so he stayed in the same NICU big brother did.
"I want to climb that, and that and that" he has the heart of an adventurer!
A side not seen by many, he doesn't get as goofy as he did, but he will always be this awesome to me.
His favorite place is between his bro and sis.
surrounded by friends he attracts them like crazy where ever he goes.
Lego meeting, dad get your old film camera away from me, I just want to play with Lego.
8 years old, what a man.  Getting ready to be baptized.
Looking for adventure, he loves to lead the company through all the corny mazes he's found in.
Take on a timer for a reflections entry - he loves Tae Kwon Do, he's always practicing and trying to make his form better.
Look how cool this kid is, I can't believe he's so handsome he must have gotten that from his Mom.
Loves to play games, even if no body else does.

I'm just amazed at how lucky we are to have him.  If you don't know him you are missing out, if you do then you know how much of a stud he is.

Love you Bud!

Spanish Fork Holi Festival... March 2013

In the spring there is a festival of good verses evil, known as Holi. It is a crazy fun great time to spend with family and see people from all over the world celebrate good vs evil by having some music, bonfires and the throwing of colors. If you get a chance to go make sure you do, its very fun and makes such a great family time. This year March 2013 my family went with a group of friends and had a lot of fun, we got some photos and saw some. While we were there I was able to get some crowd photos, go see if you are in some of them.

Tacoma Hand Blown Glass and the Fisheye

I recently got a fisheye lens, this one specifically Rokinon 8mm F3.5 Fisheye.  Its a fully manual lens that is just fun to play with.  You have to set up the aperture and focal length like the old manual SLR camera, and at 8mm you really get some great distortion in your image(s).  I got the lens so I could capture some really big monuments at Monument Valley

A great camera bag give away!

Check out Nicole Young's (Nicolesy) blog she is giving away a new Lowe Pro bag, well lowepro is giving the bag away but through Nicolesy ;)

I have had the Fastpack 350 for 2 different camera's (with gear), three different laptops, over 2 years of shooting and travel and have absolutely loved it, I've recommended it to a number of people. I know at least 3 (that's a lot) people who have bought and love the Fastpack 350 but I'm growing out of it and would love to get the rover pro series of bag to move into.
